Trex Company, Inc. is a manufacturer of wood-alternative composite decking, residential railing, and other outdoor items made from recycled materials. Its headquarters is in Winchester, Virginia. The company distributes its products through a network of more than 6,700 retail outlets across six continents. Trex composite decking products are made of up to 95% recycled materials. In redirecting more than 300 million pounds of plastic and scrap wood from landfills each year, Trex is one of the largest plastic film recyclers in North America. Since its founding in 1996, the company has diverted more than 5 billion pounds of polyethylene plastic from landfills and waterways. Wikipedia
