It was formed on May 14, 2024, after Starz Entertainment, formerly known as "Lionsgate", spun off its film and television businesses and merged them with Screaming Eagle Corporation.
Lionsgate Studios' portfolio includes Lionsgate Canada, 3 Arts Entertainment, Pilgrim Media Group, Lionsgate Films, Lionsgate Television, Lionsgate Alternative Television, Lionsgate Home Entertainment, a minority stake in 42, and a stake of joint venture Amblin Partners.
