Founded in 1977 by Gracias Saldanha as a generic drug and active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer, it is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India. The company produces and distributes medicines in more than 80 countries, with operations concentrated in India, North America, Europe, and emerging markets.
