The Korea Gas Corporation is a South Korean state-owned natural gas company established by the Korean government in 1983 under the Korea Gas Corporation Act. It is one of the world's largest corporate buyers of liquefied natural gas, and operates five LNG regasification terminals and 5,346 km of pipelines in South Korea, supplying 216 cities and counties. The company has a stake in the Prelude floating liquefied natural gas facility in Australia, along with investors Shell, Inpex Corporation, and CPC Corporation.
