Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited is an Indian banking and financial services company headquartered in Mumbai. It is one of the top private sector banks and boasts a strong retail and wholesale banking profile in India. They are an important player in the financial sector of India. The services they provide include banking, securities, asset management, insurance and lending.
In 1985, Kotak Mahindra started as a firm that was limited to discounting of bills. In 2003, they received a license from the RBI, making them one of the first banks to be converted from a non-banking finance company to a bank. They have been listed by BSE in 1995. One of their most major mergers was with ING Vyasya Bank.
As of December 2023, the bank has about 2000 branches and 3,239 ATMs, including branches in GIFT City, DIFC and London. As of June 2024, their customer base crossed 5.1 crore. The numbers have increased from 4.3 crore customers due to digital acquisition and branch-led growth activities. Wikipedia
