It manufactures and markets household, personal-care and specialty products in the United States and internationally. The company is best known for Arm & Hammer, whose baking soda and related products trace their origins to a business established by John Dwight and Austin Church in 1846. As of 2026, other major brands include Trojan, OxiClean, Nair, First Response, Orajel, Waterpik, Batiste, TheraBreath, Hero Cosmetics and Touchland.
Church & Dwight operates through three business segments: Consumer Domestic, Consumer International and Specialty Products. Its consumer businesses sell laundry, cleaning, oral-care, hair-care, skin-care and reproductive-health products, while its specialty-products division supplies sodium bicarbonate and related materials for industrial, agricultural, medical and food applications.
